       The Fillmore Senior Center along with Piru Center are planning a Day Trip to Pala Casino on Friday, August 13th. The Pala Casino is near Oceanside, Cost is $25 per passenger. To sign up, contact Andy at 805-521-1554.
       On August 25, Yane Flores, from the Food Stamp Outreach Program will be at the Fillmore Senior Center to assist Ventura County Citizens who need and qualify for the food Stamps, assistance in filling out applications. Eligibility is based on income, resources, and residence of household members. Bring proof of identification and utility bill. (Note: SSI/SSP recipients do not qualify for food stamps.)
       Braille Mobile Will be at the Senior Center on August 12th, from 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Also on Monday, August 16 The Braille Institute is offering a Vision Impaired Class from 10 a.m. to 11:30 at the Fillmore Senior Center.
       Fillmore Senior Center is thankful for the 2 new book cases that have been donated. Our walls are now full with book cases. We are continuing to except your books. Thank you .
 

The Senior Center is searching for a volunteer to keep the salad bar open two days a week as part of their nutrition program. They have one regular person but need another to do the planning, buying and “chopping” one day a week. If you are interested, call the Center. 524-4533.

  If you have fresh garden produce or fruit, the Center would welcome it to use in the salad bar. The Center is open 8-1 p.m. Monday through Friday.
